Today, December 21, 

hundreds of cars are standing in queues at the western

borders  of Ukraine.

Most of the cars are at checkpoints with Poland.

This is reported on the Facebook page of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service.

According to the border guards, as of 

12:00 p.m.

Queues at the borders

 with neighboring countries, for departure from Ukraine, were recorded at the following checkpoints:

Republic of Poland:

  • "Ustylug" - 190 l/a, 0 buses (pedestrians are not allowed);

  • "Ugryniv" - 130 l/a, 5 buses, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians are only allowed to exit for the purpose of evacuation);

  • "Rava-Ruska" - 150 l/a, 14 buses, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians are only allowed to exit for the purpose of evacuation);

  • "Grushiv" - 120 l/a, 15 buses, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians are only allowed to exit for the purpose of evacuation);

  • "Krakivets" - 190 l/a, 30 buses;

    (pedestrians are not allowed to pass);

  • "Sheghini" - 210 l/a, 50 buses, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians are allowed to pass in both directions);

  • "Smilnytsia" - 100 l/a, 4 buses, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians are only allowed to exit for the purpose of evacuation).

Slovak Republic:

  • "Malyy Berezny" - 65 l/a, 0 pedestrians (pedestrians are allowed to pass in both directions);

  • "Uzhgorod" - 60 l/a, 6 buses (pedestrians are not allowed to pass).

Hungary:

  • "Tysa" - 30 l/a, 2 buses;

    (pedestrians are not allowed to pass);

  • "Luzhanka" - 30 l/a, 0 pedestrians;

  • "Vylok" - 50 l/a, 0 pedestrians.

Romania:

  • "Porubne" - 20 l/a, 0 buses, 0 pedestrians.

At the same time, there are no queues at the checkpoints with Moldova.

The situation on the western borders of Ukraine

An unstable situation with electricity is possible at checkpoints.

Electronic control systems can fail.

Therefore, travelers are asked to consider all circumstances when planning their route. 

It is expected that 

queues, at least for passenger cars, may decrease after Christmas

 - December 25.

It will be recalled that on Friday, December 23, "Ukrzaliznytsia" reported about flight delays due to

congestion of trains at the Polish border.
