The Chinese government has imposed sanctions against two US citizens.

APA reports with reference to "Bloomberg" that this was stated in the information released by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The sanctions were imposed by the United States in response to allegations of human rights violations in China's Tibet Autonomous Region.

The restrictions apply to former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's foreign policy advisor, Yu Maochu, and Todd Stein, deputy director of staff at the Congressional Executive Committee on China.
