On Friday, December 23, an explosion rang out in the center of temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region.

The mayor of the city, Ivan Fedorov, announced this.

"A loud explosion rang out in the center of Melitopol. According to eyewitnesses, the car used by the rioters was blown up. Information about the passengers and their condition is being clarified," Fedorov wrote in Telegram.

According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred in front of the entrance to the local Gorky Park.

A photo appeared on social networks showing an enemy car with occupants on fire.

On November 13, the General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that in the Melitopol district of the Zaporizhzhya region, the occupiers are expanding their group, and convoys are arriving in the city from Tokmak.

Also, according to Ivan Fedorov, the occupiers turned captured Melitopol and the Melitopol district into a solid military base.
