Russia is accumulating troops in Donetsk region, preparing for the upcoming major offensive announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov told about this in his video blog, answering viewers' questions about the reasons for the concentration of occupiers in the Donetsk region.

"This means what Putin announced and what our commander-in-chief (Valery Zaluzhnyi - ed.) said in an interview with The Economist. He said that

a group of about 200,000 is being prepared.

And since the Donetsk direction or the east of Ukraine - this is the most important direction for the Russian army, that's why the reserves that they were able to form are withdrawn there. That's why they accumulate them there," Zhdanov explained.

He added that in this way the invaders are preparing for the new announced offensive.

"

This is before the offensive that was also announced by our chief of staff

. He said that from the end of January, the Russian army could be ready to start another offensive on our territory," the military expert recalled.

We will remind you that Zaluzhny warned that the Russian Federation is preparing for a new attack on Ukraine and Kyiv may be under threat.

For this purpose, the aggressor country gathers groups of up to 200,000 troops, which it can launch into the offensive either in January or in the spring.

As for the directions, the invaders can go either from the east, or from the south, or from Belarus.

The day before, Russian Defense Minister Serhiy Shoigu also announced the possibility of a new attack on Ukraine and said that Russia mobilized its citizens for this very reason.

In addition, the Secretary of the National Security Council Oleksiy Danilov announced that the next 1-3 months could be decisive for the war.

Ukraine is preparing, understanding all the challenges, and needs the help of partners.
