While in Poland, Zelensky held talks with the country's President Andrzej Duda for nearly two hours, Reuters reported.

"We conclude a year that was historically challenged by an all-out war," Zelenskiy said on the messaging app Telegram after meeting Duda in Rzeszow in southeastern Poland.

"We also discussed future strategic plans, bilateral relations, and interactions at the international level in 2023."

Strategically, the United States is the most important ally of the Kyiv government, while Poland is a neighboring country of Ukraine. The two countries have a profound history.

Zelensky visited Washington on the 21st to hold talks with U.S. President Joe Biden. Biden officially announced the supply of Patriot missiles to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.

In his speech to the U.S. Congress, Zelensky said that 2023 is a turning point in the war and called on the United States to strengthen sanctions against Russia.
