Thanks to the Patriot anti

- missile system

, there will be fewer flights over Ukraine's infrastructure.

At least in the region where this system will be deployed.

This was reported by a military expert, a reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan in an interview with TSN.ua, answering the question of whether there will be fewer infrastructure flights with the appearance of the Patriot air defense system.

"It will happen for sure. At least in the region where it (the Patriot anti-missile system - ed.) will be deployed. It has a pretty good coefficient for destroying flying targets," the expert emphasized.

Given the fact that the cost of the Patriot missile is $4 million, it is obvious that they will not shoot down Iranian drones, which cost $50,000 each, the TSN journalist noted.

In this regard, Svitan explained how exactly the Patriot system can work on the Shaheds.

"Well, as for the Shaheds, the Patriot will also work, at least in the detection mode: that is, the locators of this system will see them, the Patriot will redirect to the tasks of destroying the Shaheds. Patriot (will redirect - ed.) to those mobile complexes or on those anti-aircraft installations that will be located in certain sectors of the defeat. That is why Patriot will work in this sense, at least, on "Shahedy" as well," the expert explained.

We will remind that, according to the President of the USA, Joe Biden,

the transfer of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine by the USA

, which will help protect the sky from Russian missiles, will not lead to escalation from the Russian Federation.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin said that

Patriot

, which the USA will provide to Ukraine, will become "legitimate targets" for the invaders.
