Kyiv

, as of the morning of December 22, due to constant shelling of critical infrastructure by the Russian army, the situation with energy supply remains difficult.

This was announced by the head of the KMVA, Serhii Popko.

According to him, emergency power outages were again introduced in the capital on Thursday morning.

Their duration, says the official, cannot be regulated.

"The situation in Kyiv with energy supply remains difficult. The main problem is not generation, but the delivery of power to consumers. It is because of the destroyed networks and nodes that the majority of Kyiv residents cannot get light to their homes," said Popko.

He assured that utilities and energy workers are doing everything possible to restore the power system damaged by the Russians.

"Energy engineers, repair crews, utility services work around the clock to restore the damaged power system. It takes time. We will persevere despite everything. We believe in our Victory," said the head of the KMVA.

We will remind you that the general director of YASNO, Serhiy Kovalenko, said that the

situation with electricity supply in Kyiv is the most difficult in the country.

There are several reasons for this.

Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Center for Energy Research, says that

Kyiv will return to planned power outages in a week or a half

, but the light will only be 10 hours a day at best.

In turn, DTEK also informs about the difficult situation with the energy industry, but assures that in the Kyiv region they can restore alternate switching on of lights

in a few days.
