The time of the European Union-Ukraine summit has been announced.

APA reports with reference to "Reuters" that the spokesman of the President of the EU Council, Barend Leits, said this.

He said that EU Council President Charles Michel, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will hold a summit on February 3.

"I can confirm that the EU-Ukraine summit will take place on February 3 and an invitation has been sent to President Zelensky for a visit to Brussels," he said.

However, Leyts added that the place of the summit has not yet been determined.

According to the press secretary, the fact that Zelensky was invited to Brussels does not mean that the summit will be held here.

Officials said that the topic of the summit is related to how the EU will continue to support Ukraine against Russia.

Also, the two main institutions of the EU - the Commission and the Council - will evaluate the process of Ukraine's accession to the Union.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the Russian occupation in February, Zelenskiy has been regularly speaking at EU summits via video link.

He made his first visit to Washington on December 21 since the start of the war.
