Already on December 24 at 20:00 on TV channels 1+1 Ukraine on TET, viewers will see the festive Christmas "

Evening Quarter

".

On Christmas Eve, comedians will show topical humor, about war and the realities of our present, as well as exclusive numbers from guest stars with songs that currently accompany our lives.

On the eve of Christmas, the actors and actresses of the "Evening Quarter" and "Women's Quarter" talked about their Christmas traditions, how they prepare gifts for children and what their festive table cannot do without.

Yurii Tkach

shared that it was he and his wife Viktoria who started the family tradition of getting together for Christmas.

It happened for the first time 10 years ago, and since then they have been gathering as a large family together with parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles at one table in their native Dnipro.

However, they do not yet know what will happen this year.

"Our main Christmas tradition is to visit our parents in Dnipro. And we try to make it happen every year. It doesn't always work out, but when we do, it's a huge holiday. We don't know how it will be this year, whether it will be possible to visit our parents ... Maybe we will invite them to our place. Because Christmas is a real family holiday, very good. And for those who want us not to celebrate it, nothing will happen! It will be a holiday of a big family called Ukraine," - said Yurii Tkach .

For his part ,

Yevhen Koshovy

said that traditionally the family divides the holiday duties.

The wife, together with her two daughters and grandmothers, are responsible for a delicious table, and dad - for the mood and gifts.

That's why the festive commotion at Koshovoy's begins from the very morning on the eve of the holidays, because Yevhen takes a responsible approach to the preparation of gifts.

Regarding Christmas traditions, he notes that the family must be together this evening.

"As for the Christmas table, we cannot do without festive salads, cabbage pie, which my mother prepares, pancakes with various fillings, which my mother-in-law prepares, as well as Japanese sponge cake, which is prepared by the eldest daughter, Varvara. The youngest daughter, Serafima, is responsible for the cultural the program - for example, she can prepare a dance. The elder Varvara is not up to it, she used to give concerts, but now she passed the baton. In past years, we still actively decorated the house with various garlands and lights, even from the outside, but now there is a war in the country, we need to save electricity , so we plan to decorate the house a little inside and install a Christmas tree," Koshovy shared.

The actress of "Women's Quarter"

Tetyana Pesyk

recalls that since her childhood, her family started celebrating Christmas on Christmas Eve with the first star that rises around 6:00 p.m.

In her native Ternopil Oblast, the actress observes many traditions, but currently she does not perform carols, but only receives carolers.

Pesyk exclusively admitted that there is one unusual tradition that she has followed since childhood.

"Either for Christmas or for the New Year, I must watch the movie "Home Alone". I never get tired of this comedy and always watch three parts at once. I know these movies by heart. And despite the fact that I am already an adult , every time I laugh like the first time. As for the festive table, Christmas is not complete for me without lean dumplings and pickled mushrooms," said Tetyana Pesyk.

For his part, "Evening Quarter" actor

Stepan Kazanin

noted that Christmas and New Year's celebrations in his family have undergone certain changes in recent years.

This was influenced, first of all, by the coronavirus epidemic and the lockdown, which made it possible to spend the holidays together and become even closer.

He recalls that since his student years, it is mandatory to make cherished wishes for Christmas and New Year.

"This year, I'm sure, Ukrainians have one wish for everyone - our indisputable victory over the enemy. Therefore, this time you can not hide your wish from others, do not write it on a piece of paper and burn it, but say it out loud. Traditions are changing, from now on wishes are different. The main thing is that it comes true, and I'm sure it will. If we talk about delicious family traditions, the wife quite often experiments with standard dishes. For example, she cooks not the classic Olivier, but with smoked chicken, where instead of traditional peas, there are canned beans and Korean carrots. As for gifts for children, every year dad leaves something necessary under the tree, usually electronic gadgets. Although the youngest son is calm about holiday gifts, he often does not even notice them when they are already under the tree." ,- shared Stepan Kazanin.

But

Olga Zhukovtsova

arranges a holiday for her 9-year-old son every year.

This year, the family will not be at home for the holidays - due to the full-scale invasion, Oleksiy is in Turkey, where his mother plans to celebrate Christmas and New Year with him.

Zhukovtsova shared that they will prepare holidays for children by the Ukrainian society and recalled how previous years were celebrated in Ukraine.

"For the past few years, I have been at home during the winter holidays. That is why we gathered all the children I knew at my house, one of the grown men dressed up as Saint Nicholas and began to greet the children and give gifts. But my son never wanted to tell the poem. He plays football and we came up with the idea that he should report to Mykola how many times he can score the ball. And Oleksiy always remembers this and understands that every New Year he has to show a better result," the actress shared.

Don't miss the Christmas "Evening Quarter" as early as December 24 at 8:00 p.m. on TV channels 1+1 Ukraine and TET.
