In the Odesa region, border guards

detained a 35-year-old man who tried to cross the border illegally

at the Reni checkpoint .

He pretended to be a father of many children.

 This was reported to UNIAN by Ihor Peregniak, the head of the press service of the Izmail Border Detachment of the Southern Regional Department of the DPSU.

According to him, the man had birth certificates of three children.

However, it turned out that the two documents were fake.

The eldest daughter's certificate was genuine.

The girl was supposed to stay in Ukraine with her grandfather. 

The documents for the twin boys were forged.

The false birth certificates were made with high quality, the DRSU emphasizes.

It was necessary to prove that the man was using fakes with the help of technical means of border control.

The offender admitted that he bought the certificates from an acquaintance.

The documents for the children cost three thousand dollars.

Employees of the Border Service reported this incident to the police.

Currently, the issue of the initiation of criminal proceedings is being resolved.

, three evaders were detained who were trying to escape to Moldova.

When the men were asked what they were doing near the state border, they said they had "lost a flock of sheep."
