This opinion was expressed by the author of the "Post Rudzik" channel, former co-author of Nexta, Jan Rudzik, in the comments of BPN.

On December 19, one of the Telegram channels associated with the Belarusian security agencies reported on the information leak.

Screenshots of the internal correspondence of Nexta channel employees were published.

The publication claims that government authorities gained access to 30,000 user accounts in closed correspondence.

According to the interlocutor, the recent situation with the leak of information from the channel "Black Book of Belarus" ("ChKB") "damaged the reputation and level of trust in democratic forces in general."

"It is difficult to choose a more favorable moment to add fuel to the fire, and the use of the "heritage" of Roman Pratosevich (co-author of Nexta), which could fall into the hands of the security forces after his arrest in Minsk on May 23, 2021, should distract people as much as possible," inform independent Telegram -channels about what is happening in Belarus", - says Rudzik.

In his opinion, with Nexta "there was a leak, the only question is its scope".

The ex-co-author of the channel believes that "it is better not to risk and leave the country for those people who sent important documents to Nexta during the period of presence in the Protasevich project."

"Roman was in a lot of chat rooms, not only in Nexta, but also in "Belarus of the brain", communicated with court activists, representatives of Svyatlana Tsikhanovskaya's office.

A lot of skeletons can be found in the closet.

In addition, there are no guarantees that the scope of Artur Gaiko's case has been fully evaluated, and he was the only one "exiled," said Rudik.

"It is impossible to find out how true the information about the new list from Nexta is," he added.

- We do not know who, when and for what they have already detained.

Now we can only talk about the problem with the hope that people in the risk zone will see the warning."

In order to maximally exclude the repetition of such situations, it is necessary to "completely change the system of verification of new people and make it uniform and systematic for all democratic forces", according to Rudik.

Now Belarus is detaining people who passed on information about the personal data of security forces and other people connected with state structures.

Many of them go through the "ChKB" case.

The investigative committee reported that these are employees of all mobile operators, including officials: bankers, cadastral service specialists, lawyers, former law enforcement officers.

The project dealt with the collection and dissemination of personal information about the security forces that participated in the repression.

On November 14, on behalf of the former participants of the project and the company Infopoint Media Network (since June 2021, it unites a number of media resources, including "ChKB"), a statement was issued calling on the informants of the project to leave the country.

The reason for the call was the information that Artur Gaiko, an established employee of GUBAZiK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, had been working in the "ChKB" team for a long time.

He got into the project in the fall of 2020, posing as an employee of the banking sector and a supporter of change.

After some time, the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs became the head of the project, gaining access to all confidential information.

On December 21, the Investigative Committee reported that the criminal case of the creator of the Nexta media project Stepan Putila and his team member Jan Rudyk was handed over to the Prosecutor General for referral to the court as part of a special investigation.

They intend to try Putila in absentia according to Article 11, Rudik - according to Article 8 of the Criminal Code.
