Most residents of the European Union are in favor of both countries sitting down at the negotiating table for a peaceful settlement of the situation in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

APA reports that Szazadveg Opinion Research Center of Hungary asked about this.

The study showed that 82 percent of the EU citizens who participated in the survey are in favor of peace talks regarding the situation in Ukraine.

It was reported that the majority of respondents did not support sanctions against Russia.

Thus, 91 percent of respondents in Cyprus, 89 percent in Portugal and Greece, and 88 percent in Hungary supported this idea.

Residents of Poland and the Baltic countries are among the least supportive of negotiations.
