In January 2023, members of the European Parliament will vote to establish an international special tribunal for Russia and its dictator Putin. 

This was said in an exclusive interview by TSN.ua, member of the European Parliament, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, former Prime Minister of Lithuania Andryus Kubilius.  

"At the same time, the US Congress is preparing a draft law, the adoption of which will recognize Russia as an aggressor state. However, there is no question of recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism by the US. Meanwhile, the European Parliament is discussing the adoption of

special legislation that will allow recognition of individual countries at the EU level states sponsoring terrorism

. Also in January, the European parliamentarians are preparing to make a decision on the creation of a special tribunal for Putin," the MEP noted. 

It will be recalled that on December 14, during an online speech at the Sakharov Prize ceremony, Head of State Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the European Parliament to create an international special tribunal to hold Russian leaders accountable for crimes.
