Of course, the energy sector is a part of our cooperation.

Recently, this field has become more important.

Azerbaijan's natural resources are already exported in various directions, as well as to the European continent, including Serbia's neighboring countries.

APA reports that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this in a statement to the press after the one-on-one meeting with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.

"There are opportunities for cooperation in both natural gas and electricity, relevant negotiations have been held.

I am sure that practical steps will be taken to export Azerbaijan's electricity to Serbia starting next year.

I should also inform you that four days ago, a corresponding agreement was signed for the delivery of Azerbaijan's electricity to Europe.

The cable that will be laid under the Black Sea will confirm Azerbaijan as an important supplier for Europe in this field as well.

All this opens up new opportunities, new horizons, and we will cooperate in this area, of course, in a bilateral format and a multilateral format," the President said.
