Panjiri Recipe - Panjiri Recipe:

Ingredients

:

  • Wheat flour - 2 cups

  • Ghee

  • White Sesame - 2 tbsp

  • Linseed - 2 tbsp

  • Gum - ¼ cup

  • Almonds - ½ cup

  • Poppy

  • Cashew - ½ cup

  • Makhana - ½ cup

  • Ginger powder - a pinch

  • Ground brown sugar - ¾ cup

  • Cardamom powder - ½ tbsp

How to make Panjiri- How To Make Panjiri At Home:

Take a non stick pan and heat half a cup of ghee in it.

Add whole wheat flour to the pan.

Cook the flour for 20 to 25 minutes on medium heat till it turns light brown.

Put a pan on the second gas and put white sesame seeds and linseed in it and fry them lightly.

Then heat 2 teaspoons of ghee in a pan, add gum and fry for 1 minute or till it puffs up.

Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan, add khus and fry till it becomes crisp.

When they become crisp, add the remaining ghee in the pan and roast the almonds on medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes.

Add cashews to the pan and fry till they become light golden.

In the same pan, add Makhane and fry till it becomes crunchy.

In the next step, take out the whole flour mixture from the non-stick pan in a large bowl, mash the roasted sesame seeds and flaxseeds, almonds, cashews and nuts with your hands and put them in the bowl.

Now you can give them the shape of laddoos, burfis as per your choice.

Store this mixture in an air tight container and serve with milk.
