Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko supported the proposal of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to extend the visa-free entry regime in force with Latvia, Lithuania and Poland until the end of 2023.

APA reports that the press service of the president released information about this.

The visa-free regime was previously planned until the end of 2022.

Thus, from April 15, 2022, the visa-free regime was introduced for citizens of Latvia and Lithuania, as well as persons without the status of Latvian citizens, and from July 1, 2022, for citizens of Poland.

"The decision to extend the visa-free regime was made today as a confirmation of our country's openness to its neighbors, its focus on friendly neighborliness and the strengthening of relations between peoples.

"Citizens of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland will be able to visit the territory of Belarus without any obstacles, meet their relatives, visit burial places, and take advantage of medical and other services," the press service noted.
