[Reporter Lu Xianxiu/Report from Keelung] Lin Kunfeng, director of the Comprehensive Development Division of the Keelung City Government, was invited by the U.S. State Department to represent Taiwan in the U.S. to participate in the IVLP "International Visitor Leadership Program" (International Visitor Leadership Program; IVLP). Lin Kunfeng said that the "International Leaders Visiting Program" IVLP, led by the U.S. State Department, invites elite leaders in the fields of politics, economy, education, science and culture from all over the world to visit the United States for short-term visits and communicate directly with local industry, government and academia. Lin Kunfeng said that since the 1940s, over the past 80 years, more than 220,000 elite leaders from all over the world have participated in exchanges, including Vice President Lai Qingde, Secretary General of the Presidential Office David Lee, and people from various fields.
