Under the cooperation of the Sixth River Bureau of the Water Conservancy Department and the municipal government, the Sanye River improvement plan was implemented section by section. In 2014, the upstream project was first launched, with a cost of 497 million yuan. From Prince Road to the Bandai Bridge on Line 182, the length is 2.2 kilometers.

After the completion of the project, the middle and lower reaches will be rectified, and the forward-looking construction funds will be 4.626 billion yuan. The length from the Bandai Bridge to the confluence will be 10.9 kilometers. The project will start in May 2019, and the original plan will be completed by the end of 2025.

The middle and lower reaches of Sanye River have a total of 19 bids. In order to protect the life and property of residents along the river as soon as possible and avoid flooding during the flood season, the Water Conservancy Department, in addition to the Sixth River Bureau, the Fourth and Seventh Rivers The bureau also supported the promotion, which greatly advanced the progress, and finally completed it by the end of this year.

Guo Jianhong emphasized that in the lower reaches of the Sanye River from the Wukong Bridge on the Taiwan Highway 86 to the confluence, the river channel has been widened from the original 40 meters to 60 meters to increase the discharge flow, avoid back-flooding during heavy rains, and make every effort to create a safe and livable river bank vision.

Guo Jianhong mentioned that the renovation of the river has been completed, and the railway bridge north of a security station across the river along the line, the Wandai Bridge on Zhongshan Road, the Jinxiang Bridge near the airport, the Yongning Bridge at the junction of Rende and the South District, and the bridge belonging to the Four land bridges, including the crucian carp bridge with double museum bicycle lanes, are being rebuilt by the competent authority.
