Russia could not modernize the White Swan nuclear bomber due to the lack of technical and technological components, and statements to the contrary are only an element of propaganda.

Military and political commentator Oleksandr Kovalenko told about this in an interview with TSN.ua. 

"

There was no modernization.

This is an old Soviet Tu-160 strategic missile carrier-bomber, which today Russia does not have the opportunity to produce. They only had blanks of the gliders themselves, which remained from Soviet times.

They imitate the production of

these aircraft from these blanks." , - said Kovalenko.

"Regarding modernization, Russia currently lacks the technical and technological component to completely replace and re-equip the Tu-160 with modern equipment of this type, which would ensure the improvement of the characteristics of this aircraft.

This is purely propaganda

that they can carry out this modernization." , the expert explained.

He also noted that the Tu-160 is part of Russia's nuclear triad, which continues to scare everyone with its nuclear weapons.

"This constant

strategy of their intimidation and blackmail with nuclear weapons is the strategy of the impotent

. They intimidate, but they don't use. And the Tu-160 in this case is also an element. "Look, we have this big plane that is an element of the nuclear triad, which can carry a thousand missiles of strategic importance with a nuclear part." So what?"

- said the military-political observer.

He added that "consumers of informational fast food" in Russia will be satisfied with these statements about the alleged modernization of the Tu-160.

It will be recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on December 21 that the country will improve the combat capability of the "nuclear triad", as this will supposedly guarantee "the preservation of the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity". 

Note that the Pentagon previously announced that Russia is modernizing and expanding its nuclear arsenal.

The aggressor country has the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world, amounting to 6,000 warheads.  

Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the NSDC, said that Russia should be isolated from civilized society due to nuclear weapons.
