US President Joe Biden described the future of Ukraine after the end of the war as a free, independent, prosperous and secure country.

He spoke about this at a joint press conference with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi on the night of December 22 in Washington.

"This is our vision [with President Zelensky].

We both want the war to end," he emphasized.

According to him, this war could end one day when President Putin says he is withdrawing troops from the country.

"But this has not happened so far... Therefore, it is necessary for Ukraine to succeed on the battlefield, it can achieve this success with our help and the help of allies.

In order for Zelenskyi to be able to negotiate with the Russians at the negotiating table, there must be success on the battlefield," the US president emphasized.

Biden noted that the president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, admitted that this war turned out to be more difficult than he thought.

"He thought he could destroy NATO, destroy the union.

He was wrong and continues to be wrong.

He cannot win this war," the American leader concluded.

It will be recalled that the American president noted that Ukraine won at every stage of its resistance to Russian aggression.
