Declaring the need for 300 tanks, 700 BMPs and 500 howitzers for the Armed Forces, Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhnyi meant the needs for a specific operation, not the liberation of all territories.

Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov explained this on the air of the national telethon "Edyny Novyny".

"I would clarify the opinion of General Zaluzhnyi, because not everyone read it correctly. He said that he can win this war as a whole, and

separately named the number of needs for a specific operation

. Therefore, it is a victory in one specific operation, and yes, these numbers are realistic together with our partners and the power of our military industry," said Reznikov.

He emphasized that

for a complete victory

and de-occupation of the territories of Ukraine as of 1991, i.e. including Crimea, Donetsk region and Luhansk region, "of course,

more equipment and weapons are needed

, about which we inform our partners."

We will remind, in his recent interview, Zaluzhny said that the Defense Forces of Ukraine need 300 tanks, 600-700 BMPs and 500 howitzers in order to enter the border on February 23.

As military expert Oleg Zhdanov explained, this statement by the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces was aimed more at Western auditors.

In order for the West to read between the lines and understand - in order to reach the borders of 1991, Ukraine needs even more equipment and weapons.
