It was possible to return three more children to Ukraine, whom the occupiers took to the territory of the Russian Federation.

Dmytro Lubinets, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, told about this.

According to him, in August, during the occupation of part of the Kharkiv region, the Russians separated children from their parents.

Under the pretext of "rehabilitation", the children were taken to the "Vedmedyk" children's camp in the city of Gelendzhik (RF).

"As the Ombudsman, I contributed to the provision of financial support to the family with the help of the charity fund "Caritas of Ukraine", as well as to the parents' obtaining foreign passports for the return of the children to Ukraine," Lubinets said.

The representative of the BP explained that the parents had to go to Russia through "third countries".

"Parents had to go through a huge and sometimes dangerous path, which is practically impossible to overcome on their own," he said.

According to the Ombudsman, it is generally known that the Russians deported 13,613 Ukrainian children.

On December 20, it was also possible to return to Ukraine a teenager who was forcibly deported by the occupiers.

16-year-old Serhiy lived near Mariupol in Donetsk region, shortly before the war he lost his parents.

The Russians forcibly took him and many other children to Donetsk, and later to the Russian Federation.

The teenager returned to the Motherland, where his sister lives.

On December 17, it was possible to return two native brothers to Ukraine - 11-year-old Mark and 18-year-old Danylo.

Their mother was also in captivity and returned to the Motherland during the so-called "female exchange".

According to the Center of National Resistance, the invaders took 40 children from occupied Lysychansk and Severodonetsk to the territory of the Russian Federation.
