Searches in the churches of the UOC-MP in Transcarpathia

The SBU conducted large-scale searches on the territory of churches and monasteries of the UOC MP.

There they discovered a lot of anti-Ukrainian literature and propaganda that justified Russia's war against Ukraine.

Searches also took place in Transcarpathia, in particular:

  • Symbols of the banned party "OPZZH" and pamphlets praising the Russian invaders in the war against Ukraine were found in the Saint Nicholas Men's Monastery in the Khust district of Transcarpathia.

  • Law enforcement officers conducted counter-intelligence activities on the territory of the Saint Cyril and Methodius Convent of the Mukachevo Diocese of the UOC (MP) in Transcarpathia.

The law enforcement officers discovered books of xenophobic content with offensive fictions about other nationalities and religions.

The pamphlets found deny Ukraine's right to independence and emphasize that "Russia, Ukraine and Belarus cannot be divided."

They also prayed there for Patriarch Kirill, who supports the mass murders of Ukrainians.
