Historical Sun Temple of Modhera

new Delhi:

Three new cultural sites in India have been included in the tentative list of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage Sites, including the historic Sun Temple of Modhera, the historic Vadnagar city of Gujarat and the Unakoti Rocks in Tripura. Includes sculpted figurines.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) gave this information on Tuesday.

UNESCO's website describes a tentative list as "a list of properties that each government intends to consider for nomination." Union culture minister G Kishan Reddy shared the news on Tuesday. Tweeted while doing this and also shared pictures of all the three places.

He tweeted, "Congratulations India!

India has added three more sites to the tentative list of UNESCO.

First, the multi-layered historical city of Vadnagar in Gujarat, second, the Sun Temple at Modhera and its surrounding monuments and third, the stone sculptures in the Unakoti range of Unakoti district.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) also shared his tweet and said that the move will promote the cultural heritage of India.

The ASI said, "The Sun Temple of Modhera and its surrounding monuments, the rock-cut sculptures of Unakoti and the multi-layered city of Vadnagar are among the three new sites added to UNESCO's tentative list."

This will give a lot of encouragement to the Indian cultural heritage.
