Kyiv

, like the rest of the regions of Ukraine, receives a limited amount of electricity due to massive regular shelling by the Russian Federation.

As of the morning of December 20, emergency power outages are again in effect in the capital.

This was announced by the head of the KMVA, Serhii Popko.

According to the official, the water supply in Kyiv works as usual.

Some boiler houses are forced to switch off and on alternately due to energy problems.

Popko says that such boiler houses serve only 5% of Kyiv residents.

"The damage to Ukraine's power system after the latest air attacks is being repaired. Electricity generation is limited, so the capital, like the rest of the country's regions, receives a limited amount of electricity. Light for consumers is still supplied in the mode of emergency shutdowns," he noted.

Currently, energy workers, repair crews, utility workers are working in an intensified mode.

Popko assured that everything will be fixed.

He urged to keep calm and believe in the victory of Ukraine.

By the way, 430 stationary invincibility points are currently deployed in Kyiv, where you can warm up, charge electronic devices and use communication.

All of them work around the clock.

As reported,

there was a malfunction in the work of the Kyiv metro on the morning of December 20,

which caused a stampede at some stations.

It turned out that due to sudden voltage drops, trains on some metro lines did not run for about 20 minutes, and now their movement has been changed.

We will remind that in Kyiv, in connection with the extremely difficult situation in the energy sector and significant damage to the energy infrastructure due to shelling by the Russian Federation, a dozen boiler houses were left without electricity.

Therefore, the authorities urge to warm up in heating points.
