with Who What Wear readers what mistakes to avoid while washing your head to forget about oily, brittle or too dry hair.

Mistake 1: Applying shampoo twice

According to Collier, indeed, in some cases, you need to apply shampoo once to clean the scalp and again to moisturize.

But, if you wash your hair every day or every couple of days, you should not do this.

Due to excessive hair washing, the hair becomes dry and very brittle.

Mistake 2: Poor rinsing

The hairdresser is sure that it is the bad rinsing of the conditioner that is the most common mistake of many people.

You need to learn how to properly wash off the product from your head, especially around the back of your head.

Otherwise, the hair will quickly become greasy and heavy.

And insufficient washing of shampoo from the hair in the future will lead to the fact that its ends will begin to split, and dandruff will appear on the scalp.

Mistake 3: Using the wrong conditioner

Collier recommends gently pulling your hair down while it's still wet after washing.

If the strand snaps back quickly, like a rubber band, then it is in good condition and needs only a little moisture.

However, if the strand does not return after that, you need to add protein to your daily care.

Choose protein serums and masks.

However, do not use them for too long - they tend to weigh down the hair, which leads to breakage.

Mistake 4: Washing too intensively

People with oily hair usually automatically want to massage it harder when washing their hair.

However, this should not be done.

Your actions can lead to more shedding and the release of even more sebum.

The expert advises simply to gently distribute the shampoo with the palms of the hands along the root and length.

And then rinse with warm, but not hot, water.
