AirAsia pointed out that since the end of the epidemic in Taiwan in mid-October, the number of people entering and exiting Taiwan has increased significantly, and the number of online searches for air tickets has also increased significantly.

Bangkok, Thailand has always been one of the most popular cities for Taiwanese people to go abroad because of its cheaper prices than Taiwan and its diverse travel options.

Therefore, the "Taipei-Bangkok" route is specially selected to launch the "Taipei-Bangkok" route during the Lunar New Year in 2023, so that Taiwanese have new travel choices during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Karen Chan, chief commercial officer of AirAsia Group, said that this is AirAsia's seventh route after the epidemic, and it is also a new route launched by AirAsia since it entered the Taiwan market.

It is not easy for AirAsia to survive the epidemic smoothly, and it is actively restoring the original route layout.

AirAsia stated that this new Taipei-Bangkok route will be operated by Thai AirAsia (codenamed FD).

And AirAsia has resumed 6 routes including Taipei-Kuala Lumpur, Sabah, Chiang Mai, Manila, Kaohsiung-Kuala Lumpur, Manila (2023/1/7 resume) flights.
