A monument to the murdered Bulgarian border guard Petar Bachvarov, who was killed more than a month ago while performing his duty, will be built by Turkey on the border.

This was promised by the Foreign Minister of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who met in Ankara with the Speaker of the Bulgarian National Assembly, Vezhdi Rashidov, writes "24 Chasa".

"What happened at the border is a sad tragedy, a young boy is gone. We all agree that this is not politics, but an accident. They proposed to make a monument to this boy. An unpleasant incident at the border that bad people could to interpret it badly. And you know, relations have been good for years, diplomacy is active and good", specified the head of the Bulgarian parliament.

Ankara, on the other hand, takes the incident seriously, and their ambassador to our country has visited the family of the deceased and expressed her readiness to help if they need anything.

"Çavuşoğlu confirmed that he is glad that Bulgaria has always been a good mediator between the EU and Turkey, and regarding emigration, it would be nice for Europe, Turkey and Bulgaria to sit down and discuss the problems. If 5-10 people cross the border, this is not emigration, these are incidents. If we don't have an influx today, and if we don't in the future, we have to sit at the table and solve these problems," insisted Rashidov, after announcing earlier in the day that the Bulgarian parliament would be the initiator and mediator of a major political forum , dedicated to migration.

He pointed out that during his visit a few days ago, President Radev promised that in January there will be one or two more counters at the checkpoint to ease traffic.

At the meeting, it became clear that although there is no readmission agreement between Turkey and Bulgaria, the Turks accept back the illegals who are caught entering our territory from theirs.

Vezhdi Rashidov assured that our country is principled in the fight against terrorism and illegal migration.
