The Russians can prepare strategic reserves for a new offensive, which, according to military expert Ihor Romanenko, will begin at the end of winter - at the beginning of spring.

Lieutenant General Romanenko told Channel 24 about this.

"Until then, the Ukrainian side will have a window of opportunity to influence the situation in the south and east," the expert noted.

According to him, currently Ukrainian fighters have two potential directions for strikes - in Zaporizhzhia and in the Kherson region.

Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko considers the Zaporizhia direction to be the most promising from a military point of view.

"By striking there, you can split the enemy's defense system in the South with all the negative consequences for the southern group of his troops. The Russians themselves understand this, so they are trying to carry out appropriate countermeasures to strengthen the defense," he said.

Romanenko added another route from Kherson to Skadovsk.

"If we strike there, the enemy group, concentrated in the area of Kakhovka and Novaya Kakhovka, will find themselves in an operational environment. The occupiers also see this possibility and do not want to get into this situation," he noted.

The expert also explained that such actions will force the enemy to independently withdraw its troops to Crimea or the territory of Russia.

"Such an approach is a manifestation of the professionalism of actions in the Armed Forces. This is not an invasion strategy used by the Russians," added Romanenko.

According to him, these directions for potential strikes form a picture of appropriate prospective actions.

Therefore, you need to trust the command of the Armed Forces, which is constantly analyzed by intelligence.

We should add that

the Russian army has limited stocks of high-quality equipment, but there is a lot of outdated weapons.
