The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, is already on his way to his colleague, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, who is waiting for him.

It was previously reported that Vladimir Putin will fly to Minsk on December 19.

He is expected to hold a personal meeting with Oleksandr Lukashenko.

Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War believe that 

Putin

 may order new large-scale operations, but Lukashenko is unlikely to involve his army in this.

The commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev, believes that 

Putin 

will discuss with Lukashenka the involvement of the armed forces of Belarus in the war against Ukraine. 

According to military expert Oleg Zhdanov, the Belarusian army does not plan to fight against Ukraine, but Lukashenka needs to

 show Putin that he is preparing for an invasion.
