We have managed the first payment under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, all operational programs have been approved within the Cabinet.

This was stated in "The Day Begins" by Atanas Pekanov, the Deputy Prime Minister for the management of European funds

Atanas Pekanov is an economist at the Austrian Institute for Economic Research (WIFO), in Vienna.

"Also in relation to the OECD, we are doing quite well, we were ahead of Romania by about a month and a half in terms of the first memorandum, because everyone makes comparisons between the two countries. This is the strategic document that Bulgaria had to submit to the OECD in relation to all negotiations , which will be conducted for our membership," said Pekanov.

He commented that only one of the required 22 laws under the Recovery and Resilience Plan was passed.

We introduced them on the first day of the parliament, for 2 months almost no movement, we also saw one law rejected.

We are 2 years late for the adoption of this law, because of which our country will pay sanctions, warned Pekanov.

He explained that this is a law to protect people who report irregularities and abuses.

"We took BGN 2.7 billion. We will not be able to ask for the next sum of 724 million euros until we have finished our work on these 66 measures, of which 22 pass through the parliament," said Pekanov.

He emphasizes that there is not enough movement on these measures.

On these topics, a majority must be found, maybe situationally.

These measures are good for Bulgaria, these are laws that will improve the economic environment, said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Defined as better the anti-corruption bill prepared by the team of the Minister of Justice Krum Zarkov.

The received BGN 2.7 billion will mainly be used for digitization, modern technologies, now there is also a procedure for circular economy, cyber security, green transition.
