Russian citizens cannot obtain a Norwegian visa, even if they are invited to the country by local organizations.

This was reported by the Barents Observer.

In the last few months, Norwegian companies have not been able to organize a single trip for Russians by invitation.

The first problem is obtaining a visa, as it is impossible to get a place at the visa center.

"Even if a person passes this stage, in the end they will still be rejected," the publication quoted a representative of the Norwegian art space Terminal B, which wants to invite Russian artists to its event.

According to her, the reason for the refusal to issue visas to Russian citizens is Norway's fear that they will not return home.

The newspaper adds that in September visas were denied to participants in a Russian-Norwegian project to help people with oncological diseases.
