In Nagpur, Maharashtra, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Saroj Babulal Ahire surprised everyone during the winter session of the assembly on Monday.

The woman MLA reached the assembly with her two-and-a-half-month-old son in her lap and also participated in the proceedings of the house.

She said, 'I am a mother now, but I have come to the assembly to answer the questions of my voters.'

Please tell that I became NCP MLA Saroj Ahire on 30 September itself.

Saroj Ahire said, "I am a mother as well as an MLA" and both these duties are important, so I have brought my child here." Saroj Ahire said, 'My child is very small, cannot live without me' , That's why I had to bring the child.'

She said, "For the last two and a half years, no session was held in Nagpur due to Corona. That's why I have come to seek answers for my voters. There are many important issues in the constituency, which need to be raised in the assembly."

There should be facility of feeding room or crèche in the assembly premises.

Saroj Ahire said that she would like to bring her child to the House daily, so that she can take care of her child along with work.

He said, 'However, there is no feeding room or crutch facility for women legislators in the House premises.

I think the government should pay attention to this.

Some arrangements should be made so that more women legislators can bring their newborn children along.
