"Four American KHARM anti-radar missiles were shot down in the airspace of the Belgorod Region," the Defense Ministry announced in its daily Telegram briefing, without giving further details.

The US has delivered an unspecified number of AGM-88 HARM missiles to Ukraine.

The first missiles of this type were put into service in 1984 and have a range of over 48 kilometers.

They are designed to attack radar-equipped air defense systems and are adapted to be fired from Soviet-era Ukrainian military aircraft.
