Elon Musk, the owner of the Twitter social network, launched a poll in which he asked users of the social network whether he should step down as the head of the company.

Musk said that regardless of the outcome of the vote, he would carry it out.

In the first few hours, more than 7 million users participated in the vote, of which 57.3% supported Musk's resignation.

Later, the billionaire wrote a new tweet: "As they say, be careful what you wish for, you might get it."
