Reuters reported that the oil and gas field is located in the Sokolsky (Markovskoye) region of Irkutsk region, and the fire area is about 1,000 square meters.

Irkutsk Governor Igor Kobzev (Igor Kobzev) posted on Telegram that the fire has been extinguished, seven people were injured and six were hospitalized, five of them in serious condition.

The cause of the fire is still unclear.

Earlier, an oil refinery in Angarsk, Irkutsk region (Angarsk) also suffered a fire on the 15th, killing 2 people and injuring 5 others.
