The police received a report from medics that a child had been hit by a car in the village of Kolodenko.

This was reported in the press service of the Rivne police.

The policemen at the scene of the incident have previously established that the driver of a Fiat Doblo car, a 39-year-old resident of Rivne, ran over an 11-year-old boy on Svoboda Street.

The minor died at the scene from his injuries.

The driver and witnesses of the event explained that the group of children was moving along the edge of the carriageway.

At that time, one of them slipped and drove onto the road, where he got under the wheels of a car.

The issue of entering information into the EYDR on the fact of violation of road safety rules, which caused the death of the victim under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, is being resolved.
