[Reporter Cai Zongxun/Report from Chiayi] In the last 4 mayoral elections in Chiayi City, the voting results in Tougangli, West District were not only the same as the final outcome, but also had almost the same vote rate as the whole city. Huang Minhui, who is fighting for re-election by the Kuomintang, got 571 votes here, with a vote rate as high as 70%. The main opponent Li Junyu won 235 votes. It is expected that Huang Minhui will be re-elected easily with a big gap.

In the 2005 mayoral election, Huang Minhui of the Kuomintang challenged Chen Lizhen of the Democratic Progressive Party for re-election. Huang won 545 votes in Tougang, 50% of the votes, and Chen Lizhen 435 votes. In the end, Huang Minhui won the mayoral election, with 50% of the votes. Only 1 percentage point away.

In the 2009 mayoral election, the Democratic Progressive Party nominated Tu Xingzhe to face Huang Minhui. Huang's votes in Tougang fell slightly to 511 votes, 518% of the votes, Tu 456 votes, Huang was re-elected, and the city's vote rate was 521%.

In the mayoral election in 2014, Tu Xingzhe of the Democratic Progressive Party made a comeback, and the KMT nominated Chen Yizhen. Tu won 573 votes in Tougang, 524% of the votes, and Chen Yizhen 487 votes. There is only a 1 percentage point difference.

In the 2018 mayoral election, Huang Minhui put on her shirt again, and Xiao Shuli ran away from the party. Huang Minhui won the highest 558 votes in Tougang, with a vote rate of 424. Tu Xingzhe's votes were reduced to 487 votes. It won 412% of the votes, almost nothing.
