Tanya Bathija recently opened a Dunkin' Donuts outlet in Bellport, Long Island.

In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old Indian-American entrepreneur and his dog died after a fire broke out inside his Dix Hills Cottage in New York's Long Island.

This incident happened on 14 December.

According to news agency PTI, Tanya Bathija died on the spot.

The flames were so strong that the police officers could not enter the house.

The patrolling officers were informed about this at 2:53.

Meanwhile, the Suffolk County Police Department has denied any criminal conspiracy in the matter.

"Tanya Bathijah lived in a cottage behind her parents' house on Carls Strait Path," Suffolk Police Department Lieutenant Kevin Bearer was quoted as saying by the head of the department's homicide squad. 

Bathija recently opened a Dunkin' Donuts outlet in Bellport, Long Island.

He ventured into this field after completing his MBA in Accounting and Finance.

Police said Bathija's father, Gobind Bathija, was up for his morning exercise when he saw the fire and immediately dialed 911.

Gobind Bathija is a businessman and a community leader.

The department said, "Bathija alerted his wife as soon as he called 911. They ran outside to the cottage and tried to get her out, but she was completely engulfed in flames."

According to local daily Newsday, patrolling officers and a sergeant tried to enter Bathija's cottage, but they could not because of the fire.

He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for smoke inhalation.

A spokesperson for the Dix Hills Fire Department said that more than 60 firefighters and rescue personnel were dispatched to extinguish the fire.

The report states that Tanya Bathija will be cremated at Maloni's Lake Funeral Home and Ronkonkoma Lake Crematorium.
