[Reporter Huang Mingtang/Taitung Report] The Taitung County Government invited members of the internationally renowned "Small Island Big Song" project to perform internationally. The first performance was performed on the grass in front of the Taitung Art Museum on the evening of the 17th. Despite the cold snap, it still attracted many music lovers and Friends from the South Island culture went to listen, and there will be a second performance at 7:30 tonight.

The Department of Culture pointed out that Xiaodao Dage is a project that connects South Island culture with music. It was initiated by BaoBao Chen Wenzhen and Australian World Music producer Tim Cole in 2014. Hundreds of famous South Island musicians from 16 island countries including Madagascar, Marshall Islands, etc. cooperated in field recording and filming.

In 2022, Xiaodao Dage released the second album "Our Island", with the theme of "Voice for the Ocean", and invited 15 female-dominated South Island artists to create cross-ocean collaborations. They were shortlisted for this year's Golden Melody Awards for Best Aboriginal Language Album, The best album of the year, also went on a 120-day tour in many countries in Europe and America.

Returning to Taiwan to perform in December, the first stop was at the Taitung Art Museum. Chen Wenzhen is very happy to return to Taiwan to perform with the South Island family, especially the first stop is in the hometown of member Putad, conveying the meaning of life through music.
