air defense systems to Ukraine .  

The head of state said this in an interview with the French TV channels TF1 and LCI.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine currently needs air defense equipment, which is why constant negotiations are underway with France, Italy and the USA. 

"The process is going on, I am personally involved in it. In principle, it is very necessary for us... For me, it is important - this is my personal relationship with President Biden," he said.

On December 13, American media reported that the administration of President Joe Biden is finalizing plans to send

the Patriot anti-missile defense system

to Ukraine.

According to CNN, the decision will be officially announced this week.

The US Ministry of Defense confirmed the information that they plan to send Patriot anti-missile defense systems to Ukraine.

Mykhailo Podolyak, the adviser to the head of the President's Office, suggested that Ukraine will receive Patriot complexes from the USA

, as well as other samples of air defense and anti-missile defense ,

in the shortest possible time .

Publicist Andriy Piontkovsky believes that the Pentagon's plans to send Patriot anti-missile defense systems to Ukraine indicate that the US

does not want to wait too long for Russia to surrender.
