The head of the Polish police, Yaroslav Szymczyk, told the details of the incident with the explosion of a

grenade launcher,

which he received during a visit to Ukraine.

He told the local newspaper RMF24 about this.

Thus, Szymczyk received two anti-tank grenade launchers, which, according to the Ukrainian side, were used.

The first gift was from the head of the National Police of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko.

It was in the form of a long pipe closed on both sides with Styrofoam;

the weapon was turned into a speaker.

According to the interlocutor of the publication, Klymenko even turned on the music to demonstrate how it works.

The Ukrainians assured that there were no explosive materials inside.

Later, Polish police officers met with the head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, General Serhii Kruk.

At the end of the meeting, Szymczyk also received a gift from Bondar — an identical tube of a grenade launcher.

It was not converted into a speaker, but they were assured that the weapon was used and safe and could be transported without documents, and the price of the grenade launcher was like scrap.

According to the source, the delegation returned to Warsaw by car, and Szymczyk left the received gifts in the back of his office.

The head of the Polish police said that the next day after his return he wanted to transfer the gifts.

There was a loud explosion as he set one of the grenade launchers upright on the floor.

The explosion damaged rooms on three floors - from the basement to the second, holes were left about the size of a dinner plate.

Military experts say that such a grenade launcher could not fire on its own (unless it was damaged).

It is also suggested that the chief of police may have pressed on some part of the untested trigger tube.

An explosion near the police chief's office in Poland

On December 15, in Warsaw, an explosion occurred in a building adjacent to the office of the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police.

A "gift" that the Polish

police chief received during a visit to Ukraine was detonated

there .

Ukrainian law enforcement officers from several departments

are investigating the circumstances of the explosion in Poland

of a "gift" received by the local police chief during his stay in Ukraine.

Military experts claim that the grenade launcher could not have fired by itself -

if it had not been damaged and detonated during redeployment.
