This was announced by the head of the energy committee of the parliament, Andrii Gerus, on the air of the telethon "Yedini Novyni" on December 17.

According to him, so far it has been possible to eliminate most of the damage to energy facilities after the massive rocket attack on December 16.

So currently most consumers receive electricity.

"The most difficult situation is in the Dnipro and the region.

We have not yet returned to the state before the missile attack

, and there is a deficit of around four thousand megawatts in the system. The most outages are in the central and eastern part of Ukraine," Gerus said.

He also drew attention to the fact that in the next three days, that is, until December 20, a cold weather is expected in Ukraine, so the load on the power grid will increase.

However, the

situation will improve after that.

According to the people's deputy, in the next day or two it will be possible to restore and start operation of some more energy facilities.

And then the electricity shortage will decrease.

"

Until Tuesday (December 20 - ed.), the situation will be difficult

, but it will gradually improve. From Tuesday, the volume of outages should decrease and return to the indicators of a few days ago," Gerus announced.

We will remind you that on December 16, Russian troops once again launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine, targeting energy infrastructure and residential buildings.

After the attacks, electricity, heat and water supply disappeared in a number of settlements.

According to "Ukrenergo", on December 17, emergency restoration works are being carried out at the damaged power facilities.

At the same time, the state of power grids throughout the country is complicated by weather conditions.

The day before, Ukrenergo also warned that the restoration of electricity supply may take longer than before.
