We have serious ambitions for several restaurants to win a Michelin star.

This was said by the acting Minister of Tourism, Ilin Dimitrov, in the program "The Day Begins".

We have sent an invitation to Michelin headquarters to send instructors to Bulgaria, Dimitrov pointed out.

According to him, there are candidates for this, but the criteria must be specified.

According to him, our winter resorts, including Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo, offer "a wonderful price-quality ratio".

According to him, prices will be 20-30% higher this year, but our tourist product remains competitive.

Today, the winter tourist season opens in Bansko.

Minister Stoyanov revealed what the official cabinet is planning

2022 was a challenging year, difficult, but successful, the caretaker minister added.

At the beginning of the year, when the hostilities occurred, we were very startled and expected a decline compared to 2019 of around 22%.

Currently, this decline is in the single digits - between 8 and 9%.

By the end of October, we have realized BGN 5 billion in revenues from tourism, Dimitrov also announced.

We have 6,746,000 tourist registrations.

And a sustainable trend is noticeable - Bulgarians continue to like their country and rest here.

This is indicative of the quality of our product.

We are critical tourists, we have seen, tour and stay in Bulgaria.

Holidays in the interior of the country and by the sea are divided 50/50, and unfortunately, we have a decrease in foreign tourists, as this is determined by the geopolitical situation, comments Ilin Dimitrov
