Protesters blocked the entrance and exit for trucks at the "Danube Bridge" border crossing point (BCP) near Ruse.

The cause of dissatisfaction is the kilometer-long queues of heavy goods vehicles in the area of the border crossing, which make it difficult for citizens to move on the Ruse-Marten road and vice versa.

People say that a cardinal solution to the problem should be found, as the distance of five to six kilometers is covered in over an hour when there is a traffic jam of trucks.

This prevents them from going to work normally.

Only the exit for cars from Bulgaria to Romania is not blocked.

"I pass five or six times a day in this section and I don't get nervous anymore."

From the Tegra industrial zone to the Danube Bridge is about 5 km, and sometimes it takes me an hour and a half to cover this distance.

The reason is that there are trucks that stop in the middle of the road and block traffic," said Ivaylo Velikov from the city of Marten, who is one of the protesters.

According to him, it is high time to solve this problem.

This problem has been around for a long time.

Every day we are in a traffic jam, said another of the protesters - Plamen Petkov.

Among the protesters was the mayor of Marten, Dimo Tonev.

We got together spontaneously.

We want someone to hear us and move normally.

The Ruse-Marten road has become a parking lot for trucks.

A 30-kilometer queue of TIRs forms at the "Danube Bridge" checkpoint

"Yesterday, we did not hear from the deputy ministers any measures that would solve the problem definitively," Tonev said.

Because of the truck traffic problem, three deputy ministers of the interior, regional development and public works, and transport arrived at the border crossing on Friday.

It was decided to expand the perimeter for stopping trucks in the interior of the country in order to ease the traffic at Ruse.
