, they decided to suspend the broadcasting of six pro-Russian TV channels for spreading incorrect information when covering events in the country, as well as the war in Ukraine.

The decision was made by the National Emergency Situations Commission of Moldova.

"Primul în Moldova", "RTR Moldova", "Accent TV", "NTV Moldova", "TV6" and "Orhei TV" were deprived of broadcasting rights.

After all, they "seriously and repeatedly violated the Code of Audiovisual Services, tendentially and manipulatively reflecting the events in Moldova and the war in Ukraine."

Prime Minister of Moldova Natalia Gavrilice said that Russian propaganda is only intensifying in the country at the moment.

"For almost 300 days of the war in Ukraine, propaganda in Moldova did not stop, but even intensified. In a situation in which not only an energy war is waged against our country, but also an information war, our responsibility and duty is to protect citizens and countries." - she emphasized.

It will be recalled that the Russian Foreign Ministry

accused Moldovan President Maya Sanda of oppressing Russian-speakers."

Thus, the press secretary of the department, Maria Zakharova, commented on the new Code on elections in Moldova. In response, Chisinau summoned the Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov to express his protest.
