Since February, 6 people suspected of cooperation with the Russian or Belarusian special services have been detained in Poland, said Stanisław Zharin, Commissioner of the Polish Government for the Security of the Information Space, writes wiadomosci.dziennik.pl.
He reminded that the Polish authorities expelled from the country 45 Russian officials who officially worked in diplomacy, but were engaged in intelligence activities against Poland.
"The Russian side and their proxies, that is, the Belarusian services, are active, but this does not remain outside the attention of Polish counterintelligence.
"The espionage investigations are lengthy, and their results can often be reported late," Stanislav Zharin noted.
According to him, increased activity of Russian disinformation against Poland has been observed in recent months.
