The withdrawal of part of the Russian troops from

Kakhovka

and Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region may be a trap.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are closely monitoring this situation.

Nataliya Humenyuk, head of the joint coordination press center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, told about this on the air of the national telethon on December 17.

She reminded that the occupiers used similar tactics during the liberation of the right bank of the Dnieper by the Ukrainian military.

"During the counteroffensive on the right bank, they also used similar tactics and for a long time tried with all their might to hint that they were leaving their positions, allegedly inviting the advance of our troops. But still, let's remember the peculiarities of hybrid warfare. And such demonstrative moves, as a rule, can contain certain traps. Therefore, we carefully check this information, but we understand that the direction of their (Russian Federation troops, - ed.) movement was already announced on Zmiiny Island," Humenyuk explained.

We will remind, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian military is spreading information that the

occupiers are planning to leave Kakhovka

for the Kherson region by the end of this year.

The General Staff emphasizes that the Russians are redeploying individual units and withdrawing part of their troops from Kakhovka and Novaya Kakhovka of the Kherson region to the area of Nizhny Sirogozy settlement.
