The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, thanked the leaders and the public of those countries who fought for a more powerful package of anti-Russian sanctions, which was approved by the European Union.

He spoke about this during the traditional evening address.

"The European Union has approved the ninth package of sanctions against Russia for the war. The ninth, but obviously not the last. It is obvious that the pressure needs to be increased," the Ukrainian leader said.

Zelenskyi assured that the Ukrainian authorities will continue to work with the European Commission, with the leaders of the EU countries, with the European public, so that "the existing sanctions policy works for the end of the war and does not give Russia the wrong signals - signals that someone is ready to ease the pressure."

"I thank everyone who maintains principles! Glory to everyone who works for our victory!"

- concluded the president.

It will be recalled that the European Union officially agreed on the ninth package of sanctions against the aggressor of the Russian Federation.
