Russia fired more than 70 missiles at Ukraine during rush hour this morning, forcing an emergency blackout across the country.

(Central News Agency) Ukrainian officials said that Russia fired more than 70 missiles into the country during this morning's rush hour in one of the largest attacks since the Ukraine-Russia war began, forcing a nationwide power outage and killing many at home.

Ukrainian officials said two people were killed when an apartment complex was hit in the central city of Kryvyi Rih and one person was killed in shelling in the southern city of Kherson.

Ukrainian authorities said in a statement on social media that the capital Kyiv had experienced one of the largest missile attacks since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, with about 40 missiles detected in Kyiv's airspace.

But the Ukrainian authorities also mentioned: "About 37 of these missiles were destroyed by (Ukrainian) air defense forces."

An apartment building was hit in the central Uzbek city of Clifello, causing casualties.
